Up at the crack of midnight.

That will be me tomorrow morning, up about 4:30 am so I can have a cup of coffee before hubby gets up. I would feel guilty drinking in front of him because he can't eat or drink anything after midnight.

He has to phone the hospital at 6am to make sure they have a bed for him. If they do we have to be at the hospital at 7am but I don't know what time the surgery is. Our neighbour is taking us if they have a bed. Damn I hope they have a bed for him, other wise they will phone him back at some point and we will have to get a cab in.

On the bright side, we don't have to worry about having insurance or how we are going to pay for it. I love our NHS even if I have a moan about them once and while. Heh, that's my right cause I am English.

I'm going with him and it's going to be a long, looooong day. Good job I picked up 8 books at the library yesterday. I'm going to look through them later and decide which one I won't want to put down. I'll treat myself to breakfast and lunch at the WVS, oh boy do they cook a great breakfast. Bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and with the English version of hash browns. For lunch I hope they have their bread pizza on sale. When I had it there, it gave me the idea of making baguette pizza for lunch once and a while. As long as hubby gets through the surgery with no problems and if I look at it as being a day with no chores, no phones it'll be not so bad, well for me not him poor baby.

This is supposed to be a day surgery and I hope they don't have to keep him in overnight because of the COPD. He is so looking forward to not being able to use his right hand for a couple of months.....NOT! At least this time he will be able to walk around, not like when he broke both bones right above his ankle.

Eppp the the spell check isn't working.

Will be thinking of hubby and you today. I hope everything goes as well as can be expected.
