I'm loving cleaning

Giggle Susan, no way am I a clean freak honest, giggle if you knew me you would understand gigggle.. It's just that with the combination of meds and my new chair I can clean without wanting to kill myself from the pain. Vacuuming, dusting, beds, ironing, mopping floors. EEK mopping floors ermmm no way I hate doing that job. It's just so satisfying to be able to do this after about 10 years. That's the length of time my hubby has been doing doing the housework that I couldn't do. Since I've told John that I'll take care of the inside and he can take of of the garden it's been working like a charm. If I have a bad back day then I just sit and it's no problem.

I feel useful again and not a lazy slob, I'm so enjoying being a household engineer again, giggle it that sounds better than being a plain old housewife.. Anyone with Neuropathic pain will sooooo understand what I mean.

Today I vacuumed all through, made the beds, dusted and cleaned the kitchen and the pain didn't get bad until I stood making lunch. I've taken my extra drugs and now they are kicking in the pain is getting bearable. Giggle but I'm going to have to lay down for a while.

Yesterday I did the weekly ironing with only one sit down instead of three or four!

Life is so good these days.

Well I can understand that...that housework would be a pleasure if you were in so much pain that you couldn't do it.

I took some inspiration from you today and mopped every surface, vacummed, loads and loads of laundry......but I have started eyeing my recycling pails....they are quite dingy and in need of a good weekends projects!!

I have been trying to develop an obsessiv-compulsive disorder regarding cleaning but it hasn't worked out yet. I've got a very clean house but I am not obsessive about it. I only half teasing....I would love to have it really spotless at all times...but it isn't in my personality just yet but I am working on it!!
