Neuropathic Back Pain

SUCKS!!!!!!!!! I want to use stronger language but I try not to be too foul mouthed in my blog. Think about how much a toothache hurts and then triple it, maybe more than triple. It feels like someone has rubbed all of my nerve endings with the most course sandpaper you can buy. Then have the wind blow over those nerve endings. In other words it HURTS!!!!!!! I go to the pain clinic on the 11th of May. I'm hoping that my regular consultant is still off on sick leave. The Locum according to my friend Heather, who has the same thing is really good. The trouble is this pain isn't going to get any better until John is totally back to normal, and can mop the floors and vacuum. That's out of the question anytime soon. So today is yet another sit down on my butt day and not do anything productive, sigh. I KNOW that there are people worse off than me and I feel awful complaining but, well, it's my pain if you know what I mean.

At least my meds were ready for pickup at the doctors office, so hopefully after I've taken them, had lunch and a nap I might not feel like clinging to the ceiling.

We had sun this morning, whoo hoo! I took Spike seen above for a walk into the village, I have to walk everyday to force blood down to my right leg. If I don't walk every day I stand a good chance of losing my leg. Talk about a rock and a hard place.

Ok, I'm done whingeing.......this time gigggle.

Im very sorry to hear about your neuropathic pain. I can empathize with you as I see it every day in my hubby. Some days I get frustrated that he doesn't do more, but then I take a minute and remember what he goes through. He got overwhelmed with dishes and I just caught them all up. He doesn't want me helping cause he feels useless, but he cant always do they, then gets overwhelmed and doesn't do them. Ahh it's a circle. Here's hoping there are better times ahead for you and John!

(((VANDA))) It's okay to whine, this is your blog, it's all about you!
