Johns cancer treatment prep has started.

He had one of the CT scans done today and got tattooed. That's so they can be sure to put the equipment in the right place for radiotherapy. Another CT scan next Thursday I think this one is a full body scan and then hopefully he can find out when the radiotherapy is going to start.

It's a 54 mile round trip, but thank goodness he gets help with the fuel costs. He'll get £10.10 for each visit. LOL we might find ourselves ahead by a few quid:-) Still I'm thinking that it's going to be a loooong 40 days of driving 54 miles per day. I'm also hoping that he doesn't get to many side effects. We do know that he'll feel very tired though. Got to get my provisional driving license before it all starts. Roll on June when this part of the treatment will be over.

Scarey! That's a lot of driving. I didn't know you didn't have a license!

I have my American license, but I've been back to long for it to be legal.

If it was just to the local hospital 14 miles away I think I'd be tempted because it's all country back roads to get there. But this hospital I'll have to drive on the main roads in lots of traffic so I can't take that chance.
