That is what I've been telling myself since the second week in this month. We were so ill over Christmas, New Year and beyond. Even though we both had the flu shot, that's what I think we had. Aching, shivering, body aches, coughing our lungs up and a temperature that went from below normal to 103.6. I even had the doctor come to the house the day after Boxing day because I would never had made to the the car. I had a chest infection and man the antibiotics she and cough medicine she gave me worked like a charm. Our energy got up and went walk about and didn't come back until the middle of last week. John said he has never ever seen me down for so long. No reading, no computer I just laid on the couch ad watched what ever he was watching on TV. I never want to watch a western or war film ever again. LOL that's not going to happen though. We had our first and last pizza delivered when hubby was to ill to cook. Eh gads it was bloody awful the crust was damp! The Chinese soup went down a treat though, for three days in a row.
Hubby had his pre-admission appointment last week, four and a half hours at West Suffolk hospital. That was a looong day. We/he have to take a cab to the hospital on surgery day and I'm not sure if I'm going with him or not. I don't have an English driving licence and if I have an accident driving home, my AZ license won't cover us for insurance. I think it's going to be an all day thing, so should I go with him and get a cab into town and have a good look around the shops then hang around the hospital or should I stay home and let him go by himself. Heh, I'll most likely make that decision on the day. I am just hoping they have a bed for him when he calls at 7:30 am to make sure. I hate shopping too, so who knows, decisions, decisions!

It's Sunday.
So why was I up before 8, had the beds made, emptied the dishwasher, first laundry load going and a couple of other things BEFORE my first cup of coffee? I must be getting sick.
I had a couple of weird dreams last night, but what I wouldn't give to live in that kind of world.
Ugh, it looks so depressing this morning, raining, grey, windy and all around yucky and the lights are on in the living room because it's too dark not to have them on. A good day to just sit with the gas fire on and snuggle with my laptop.
Heh, I've spend way to much time online the last cople of day, and I'll do the same today. It's because I don't have anything to read. Off to the library on Tuesday, maybe some books I've ordered will be in by them.
Is there a word justt? I typed that and spell check didn't pick it up LOL.

Good job I didn't sign up for that
every day posting thing. I've ordered the new power cord for the lappy and as soon as it arrives I can catch up on my blog feeds, ehgads I've almost got 200 to catch up on.
It's not that my Spike is lazy, you know. He just likes his comfort giggle. He loves hubby and lays with him on the couch when ever he want too LOL.
I haven't cooked dinner for the last two night, fish and chips last night, KFC for lunch and Chinese for dinner tonight.
We have Georgia for the weekend so she's having dinners she likes. Love to spoil her a little bit.
Back when I get the new power cord.

Iceberg in the cupboard.
We have a small fridge we keep for the overflow stuff that won't fit in the big fridge in the kitchen. Things like wine, tinned food, maggots, worms, hot curry flavoured spam. Anyway I took a look at it yesterday and the freezer section was solid a block of ice and inside it was so bloody disgusting. You could tell I haven't looked into it for months.
We manhandled it outside to defrost it. A bit later I was sitting on the doorstep having a smoke and I could hear it dripping. Spike started sniffing around the back of it and looking at it with a what the hell is making that noise look, his head turned this side and then t'other. Then there was a crack. Have you ever seen a dog run backward in fright, moving like lighting? Poor boy. I was nearly peeing myself because it was so funny. I know I'm just so cruel.
Few hours later we heard a very loud crash, Spike run out before we could move, hackles raised and barking his big dog bark. And there just outside the door was the flipping iceberg that was trapped inside. Now I wish I'd taken a picture because it was one impressive block of ice. It was still partly there when we got up this morning. Now it's sparkling clean and airing in the sunshine, ready and waiting for me to put more "stuff" in it. Maggots, worms and whatever will be added next year.
