Bleach and BO

I cleaned my indoor black trash bin today, not to be confused with the blue or brown bins. Yep we recycle here in my little bit of paradise, in fact Bury St. Edmunds is the leading county council for recycling. Now aren't you glad you know that?

I really hate doing this job and I'm a bit manic about it being kept nice and sparking clean. So I did the usual, put the Dettol and the Flash cleaner, and the bleach, added the hot water and pheeeew it smells like BO! I've noticed this before, add bleach to plain water and it just doesn't smell like bleach should smell, oh no it has to smell like bloody BO! Oh and the choices here for bleach are staggering. Thick bleach, thin bleach, bleach that is supposed to smell like flowers, pine, lemon, bleach for the toilet, for the drain and on and on the list goes.

Why can't English thin bleach smell like bleach is supposed to?

Um, Vanda? I don't know what Dettol and Flash cleaner are, but bleach mixed with some other cleaners can make deadly fumes. That may be what you're smelling!

Vanda!!!! You are the cleanest clean freak I know of!!! Haha, I'm jealous.... between vacuuming, bin cleaning, dusting, I'm exhausted just reading about it. I imagine your home to sparkle bright as a diamond...

Giggle Susan read my I love cleaning entry.

Skeet, my friend I do understand about mixing cleaning agents but I still do it. Yeah I know it's silly. But even if I add the bleach to plain water it still like BO, even more so UGH.

Gigggle Denise if the USA wasn't so strange about what can be mailed now, I'd send you some. You know what? I can't send my grands a lot of stuff because I ca'@t get a permit for sending candy! I understand about your Home security but they are carring it a bit, well way to far.
