Bank Holiday Monday.

Took Spike for his walk this morning and it's so very quiet in the village. Just a few cars on the road which surprised me as this is the main route though to bigger cities and towns. My little patch of snow that survived the big melt has gone. Guess that's the last of the snow for this winter. But like all good English winters it's very damp.

John gets the implant in his stomach tomorrow, we both feel this is the real start to his treatment for Prostrate cancer even though he's been taking the pills for a couple of weeks. I've managed to push my fear at the back of my mind over the holidays but this morning it came crashing back. Silly really when the cure rate is 95%. So far with the hormones he's doing really well, no mood swings, hot flushes, just more tired. Only another two weeks to go on them.

I have an appointment with the pain clinic on the 10th. Dr. Scofield and I are going to have to have a talk. According to the letter she sent to my GP in Oct she didn't listen at all about some previous heath problems. And I thought I'd struck lucky having an American doctor. I've never like having women doctors and only have every had one that I truly liked. Still I'm keeping a positive attitude, well at least until the next appointment.

Time for lunch.

I bet Spike enjoyed his walk. Love the photo of you and Spike! Praying your hubby will do well with his treatment.
